We have made these classic style Roof Racks in mild steel with silver powder coating. All wooden slats are made of hard wood and come with a water-based outdoor wood stain that provides waterproofing. Like most wood products, they will require regular maintenance with a suitable outdoor wood stain or oil-based waterproof preserver. We would recommend but not limited to use an OSMO UV oil particularly if your roof rack is permanently fitted to your vehicle and left outside in all weathers. If your vehicle is always garaged, the wood will not require as much maintenance. Therefore, wooden slats are not covered under warranty due to self-maintenance required.
